Art & Wellness program

There's nothing like being around other folks and enjoying a little creativity to take your mind away from life's problems, at least for a little while! I'm so blessed to be a part of Sawtooth's Art & Wellness program where we do exactly that. We visit facilities in the local area and bring a little artistic respite to patients and their caregivers with fun and easy projects that bring a few worry-free moments of joy. One of the classes I teach for the program is wool beads, which are a quick and easy wet-felted project. They can be used to make all sorts of things, but in our classes we usually make jewelry or bookmarks. I usually bring the wool fibers and felting tools along with novelty beads to coordinate with their felted beads they make, as well as ribbon and earwires if we're making earrings. Here are a few of the designs my students have made, we all had such a good time felting, laughing and creating together!
